Job summary
The Site Reliability Engineer designs, operates, and improves secure, highly available Azure platforms supporting large-scale production environments. The role leads reliability initiatives and promotes SRE practices through service-level objectives, incident reviews, resilience and disaster recovery, and reusable Terraform automation. It also covers AKS operations, observability, GitOps, and CI/CD using tools including ArgoCD, Grafana, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications
- Experience in SRE, cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering supporting large-scale production environments
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure and strong Kubernetes experience
- Advanced Terraform skills and experience designing reusable Infrastructure as Code components
- Strong Git and GitOps practices and experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
- Linux administration and scripting or programming skills
- Experience with monitoring, observability, distributed tracing, application performance monitoring, and proactive alerting
- Experience with incident management, capacity planning, performance optimization, and disaster recovery testing
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and customer-focus skills
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available Azure infrastructure
- Define and maintain service-level indicators, objectives, and error budgets
- Lead root cause analyses and post-incident reviews
- Develop auto-scaling, self-healing, disaster recovery, and multi-region failover patterns
- Build reusable Terraform components and automate operational processes
- Operate and optimize AKS clusters and implement container security and GitOps practices
- Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing strategies
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines with blue/green and canary deployments
- Mentor SRE engineers and participate in on-call rotations and major incident management
