Job summary

Cisco ThousandEyes is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design and operate large-scale distributed systems, ensuring high availability and performance while collaborating with application development teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency writing production-quality code in at least one programming language
• Hands-on experience designing, operating, or troubleshooting production systems in AWS and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling and codebases
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI for operational efficiency
• Professional experience administering and troubleshooting GNU/Linux systems

Responsibilities

• Design and operate large-scale, highly available distributed systems
• Use AI Tooling to write high-quality code and automated solutions
• Evaluate the scalability, resiliency, performance, and security of production services
• Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure and platform services
• Collaborate with application development teams and other stakeholders
