Site Reliability Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer role is essential for maintaining the reliability and performance of digital services by defining SLOs, collaborating with software and DevOps engineers, and automating deployment processes. Responsibilities include building CI environments, managing container registries, and implementing effective SRE practices, utilizing technologies such as AWS, Azure, and scripting languages like Python and Ruby.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
• Experience in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, MS AZURE)
• Familiarity with monitoring, debugging, and performance measurement tools
• Proficient in regular expressions, scripting, and dynamic programming languages
• Good knowledge of distributed version control systems
• Systematic, goal-oriented, and independent working style

Responsibilities

• Define SLOs based on customer SLAs and calculate error budgets
• Collaborate with software and DevOps engineers on new designs and architectures
• Standardize and automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Build and operate a Continuous Integration environment
• Establish and manage virtual network infrastructures
• Implement and enhance effective SRE practices
• Analyze and resolve system disturbances
