Site Reliability Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

Site Reliability Engineer position in Berlin focused on SLO definition, collaboration with software and DevOps engineers, and process automation.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or a related field, or technical training with relevant experience
• Experience in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, MS AZURE) and distributed network infrastructures
• Familiarity with monitoring, debugging, and performance measurement tools, and container orchestration
• Proficient in regular expressions, scripting, and dynamic programming languages (e.g., bash, Python, Ruby, Go)
• Good knowledge of distributed version control systems (e.g., git, hg) and SRE methodology
• Systematic, goal-oriented, and independent work style with teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to work on-call and in shifts

Responsibilities

• Define SLOs based on customer SLAs and calculate error budgets
• Collaborate with software and DevOps engineers on new designs and architectures
• Standardize and automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Establish and operate a continuous integration environment
• Build and manage virtual network infrastructures
• Implement and develop effective SRE practices
• Analyze and resolve system disturbances with thorough documentation
