Job summary
Design, build, and operate a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) service for a public cloud, advancing its implementation in the OpenStack ecosystem and preparing it for production-scale operation. The role spans network architecture, delivery, reliability, security, scalability, and observability, with technologies including OpenStack Neutron, OVN/OVS, Linux, Python or Go, CI/CD, and AI-assisted operational workflows.

Qualifications
- Strong networking expertise in routing, network isolation, overlays such as VXLAN, and SDN.
- Knowledge of OpenStack Neutron and OVN/OVS, or significant experience with an equivalent cloud networking stack.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering infrastructure services from design through production.
- Strong Linux and automation skills.
- Proficiency in Python or Go.
- Experience with highly available architectures, infrastructure as code, resilience testing, and observability.
- Proficiency with metrics, logs, alerting, and SLI/SLO practices.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based tools, and automated security checks.
- Awareness of security and isolation requirements in multi-tenant public cloud environments.
- Understanding of AI applications in operations, including AIOps, automation, and augmented observability.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Autonomy, adaptability, critical thinking, and sound technical judgment.
- Calm and dependable response under pressure, including during critical incidents.
- Curiosity, continuous learning, and willingness to share knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Shape VPC architecture, network models, and technical decisions with architects and technical leads.
- Build missing VPC components and consolidate existing implementations using OpenStack Neutron.
- Prototype and test architecture choices to validate scalability and resilience.
- Ensure production reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Implement and improve service observability, including metrics, logs, alerts, and SLI/SLO.
- Coordinate with other teams to maintain consistency with the Public Cloud platform.
- Identify automation and optimization opportunities, including AI-based agentic workflows.
- Maintain DevOps standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and automation.
- Operate and maintain the production VPC, manage incidents, and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and challenge design choices.
