Site Reliability Engineer, Software Delivery

Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer in Software Delivery at Apple is responsible for delivering reliable services and supporting a distributed development workflow. This role involves monitoring SLOs, responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to implement best practices.

Qualifications

• Development experience with Go, Python, Swift, or similar languages
• CI/CD pipeline creation with Jenkins or similar services
• Proven ability to self-manage large, complex projects and consistently meet deadlines
• Excellent understanding of micro-services architecture and its operational considerations.
• Exposure to Container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Experience leading and mentoring other engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of Linux system administration and its implications for service reliability (MacOS is a plus)
• Expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues under pressure.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical.
