Job summary
This role supports the reliability, availability, and operational performance of a Kubernetes-based platform for a mission-critical federal application modernization initiative, while helping sustain existing production applications. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining Kubernetes, managing observability and release automation, supporting incident response and service recovery, partnering on infrastructure as code, and maintaining shared operational runbooks and availability evidence.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or platform operations supporting Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience with observability tools and practices.
- Experience with incident management and operational troubleshooting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and operations teams in a mission-critical environment.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the platform's Kubernetes environment to support application availability, stability, and performance.
- Manage platform observability and release automation capabilities.
- Own platform availability and recovery evidence to support operational readiness and accountability.
- Support incident management, troubleshooting, and service recovery activities.
- Partner with DevSecOps engineers on infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and platform automation.
- Collaborate with sustainment SRE team members to develop and maintain shared operational runbooks.
