Site Reliability Engineer - Video Platform

Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer supports the reliability of a global video platform for multimedia storage, delivery, transcoding, publishing, and distribution. The role manages production-system deployments, operations, incident response, service-level performance, and compute, storage, and network capacity, while building automation and monitoring tools to optimize infrastructure and handle high-volume events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• Programming experience in at least one of C, C++, Java, Python, C#, or Go.
• Knowledge of networking, operating systems, database systems, and container technology.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and hands-on experience troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or ELK.
• Experience building solutions with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the reliability of video publishing and distribution systems.
• Manage production-system changes, deployments, operations, and emergency response.
• Monitor services, respond to incidents, and follow up on production incidents to maintain service-level agreements.
• Manage compute, storage, and network bandwidth capacity to support stability and infrastructure cost efficiency.
• Support high-traffic events.
• Build tools, automation, visualizations, and monitoring for global infrastructure operations and optimization.
