Job summary
Westpac One Digital is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability and performance of digital banking platforms through strong SRE practices and AI-driven operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing observability solutions using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
- Proficiency in software development using Python, Java, Go, or PowerShell.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and understanding of LLMs and AI governance.
- Expertise in operational excellence, including incident and problem management.
- Desirable experience in banking or financial services and knowledge of operational resilience requirements.
Responsibilities
- Improve service reliability, availability, and resilience by managing SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, and disaster recovery.
- Design and enhance observability through monitoring, alerting, and automated health checks.
- Drive automation by developing self-healing solutions and reliable CI/CD practices.
- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis to implement permanent solutions.
- Lead the adoption of AI-driven operations and engineering practices.
