Job summary
The Site Reliability Engineer supports and evolves Google Cloud Platform infrastructure for an AdTech environment, improving reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. The role manages Google Kubernetes Engine clusters and microservices, provisions infrastructure with Terraform, drives FinOps initiatives using BigQuery and Cloud Run, and builds observability with OpenTelemetry, GCP monitoring tools, and Dynatrace. It also contributes to automation, GitOps, incident response, and emerging self-healing practices.

Qualifications
- Four to five years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or SRE.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, particularly GKE, and Helm.
- Advanced Terraform proficiency, including complex state management, reusable modules, and remote backends.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Harness.
- Experience implementing GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
- Hands-on experience implementing OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and metrics, and configuring dashboards and alerts.
- Understanding of GCP networking, including VPC peering, load balancing, and private endpoints.
- Understanding of GCP IAM, including service accounts, workload identity, and least-privilege policies.
Responsibilities
- Support GCP infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production incidents.
- Design, build, and maintain secure, highly available, and performant GCP infrastructure.
- Optimize cloud costs through GKE rightsizing, automated asset inventory reporting, and cost-visibility data pipelines.
- Manage, deploy, and scale microservices on GKE using Helm and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provision and maintain cloud resources with Terraform, using modular designs and managed state.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments with version-controlled, tested, and peer-reviewed GitOps workflows.
- Build observability dashboards and actionable alerts with OpenTelemetry, GCP tools, and Dynatrace.
- Manage GCP networking, including VPCs, firewalls, and private clusters, and enforce IAM controls.
