Job summary

AMCS Group is seeking a highly skilled DevOps/SRE Tech Lead to join their engineering team. The role involves mentoring engineers, participating in architectural decisions, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of systems while focusing on customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related fields, with 2 years in a leadership role.
• Deep understanding of cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience in architectural oversight and decision-making.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef).
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Build SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs with development and business teams.
• Lead incident response and improve detection and resolution processes.
• Enhance monitoring and observability stack with a customer-centric approach.
• Conduct blameless root cause analyses and postmortems.
• Ensure platform availability and responsiveness to meet customer expectations.
• Utilize AI for incident triage and anomaly detection.
• Optimize costs by right-sizing workloads and eliminating waste.
• Automate processes to reduce toil within SRE.
• Participate in architectural design and decision-making.
