Job summary

Peraton requires Systems Engineers to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) at MacDill AFB, Florida. The role involves designing and deploying automated workflows, administering SOAR platforms, and collaborating with incident responders to enhance cybersecurity operations.

Qualifications

• Min 9 years with HS degree, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA
• DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
• DoD TS/SCI clearance
• Must be DoW 8140 compliant under Work Role Code 451 - System Administrator - Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26
• Previous experience in DoW or DoD enterprise network environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with SIEM engineering, log management, and EDR/XDR technologies (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike)
• Experience with cloud-native automation tools (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Logic Apps)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy automated workflows, playbooks, and scripts
• Administer and engineer enterprise SOAR platforms
• Develop custom API integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Collaborate with incident responders, threat hunters, and cyber analysts
• Write, maintain, and optimize custom scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
• Maintain comprehensive documentation
• Provide technical guidance and training to SOC personnel
