Snowflake Platform Engineer / Administrator

Job summary

Establish, administer, and enhance a Snowflake cloud data platform in a large, regulated banking or financial-services environment, ensuring security, reliability, automation, and production readiness. The role covers Snowflake configuration and access management, CI/CD and infrastructure automation, platform monitoring and troubleshooting, and legacy data-platform modernisation using technologies including AWS, Terraform, dbt, Snowpark/Python, and Teradata.

Qualifications

• Banking or financial-services experience.
• Experience in a large, regulated enterprise.
• Hands-on experience establishing and operating the Snowflake platform, from architecture and configuration through security, automation, and production readiness.
• Enterprise cloud experience, including AWS.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• Practical experience with dbt and Snowpark/Python.
• Experience with Teradata or legacy data-platform modernisation.
• Relevant Snowflake certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Snowflake environments and virtual warehouses.
• Manage users, roles, role-based access controls, and service accounts.
• Maintain platform security and monitor resource usage.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and environment deployments.
• Monitor platform health, provide operational support, and troubleshoot issues.
• Support infrastructure automation and legacy data-platform modernisation.
