Software Developer (DevOps / AWS)

Job summary

SiftMed is seeking a Software Developer with strong DevOps experience and deep AWS expertise to build and scale their AI-powered platform.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on AWS experience across multiple services in production
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Practical experience with infrastructure as code
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration
• Solid database fundamentals including design and optimization
• A security-first mindset for working with sensitive data
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to own work from design to production

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain back-end and full-stack features using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Architect, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Define infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK / CloudFormation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployments
• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes or ECS
• Design and manage databases including schema design and performance tuning
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for system health
• Champion security and compliance practices for sensitive health data
• Collaborate with teams to ship reliable software end to end
