Job summary
The Software DevOps Engineer role involves designing, building, operating, and continuously improving on-premise and cloud hosting platforms. Responsibilities include ensuring infrastructure security and high availability, developing internal APIs and automation tools, and mentoring technical teams while promoting modern software engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, computer science, software engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Practical experience with cloud technologies
- Proficiency in software engineering practices, programming, and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Go, bash, PowerShell
- Significant experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with infrastructure tools, including monitoring, observability, and configuration management
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Curious, technically competent, and eager to learn new technologies and expand skill set
Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and continuously improve on-premise and cloud hosting platforms
- Ensure infrastructure security, resilience, modernity, and high availability
- Develop internal APIs, automation tools, and engineering practices to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks
- Promote modern software engineering practices and contribute to the adoption of DevOps and SRE practices
- Mentor and support engineers and technical teams
- Lead or coordinate technical initiatives and infrastructure projects
- Contribute to product vision and roadmap for hosting platforms and prioritize strategic technical work
