Job summary

Software Engineer 3 position involves leveraging data science to tackle analytic challenges and developing operational prototypes in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on MLOps experience, including fine-tuning and operationalizing small ML models
• Minimum 7 years experience programming with Java, C++, or Python
• Minimum 5 years experience designing and developing applications in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments
• Minimum 1 year experience using database technologies such as Apache Accumulo, MongoDB, or Postgres
• Minimum 1 year experience using distributed batch- or stream-processing solutions
• Minimum 1 year experience using distributed file or object storage systems
• Minimum 1 year experience with requirements analysis and design for object-oriented systems
• 6 months development experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Computing Services within the last 2 years

Responsibilities

• Leverage advances in data science to support analytic problems including information overload, discovery, attribution, tracking, and assessment.
• Develop operational prototypes driven by data science techniques for behavioral, geo-temporal, social, and content analysis in cloud environments.
• Research to advance machine learning and statistics in mission problems.
