Software Engineer - Cloud SRE

Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer develops and operates self-service cloud platforms for managing application lifecycles, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance. Responsibilities include incident response and root cause analysis, improving observability and CI/CD, optimizing system performance, and automating operations using Kubernetes and Go or Python.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of programming experience with Go or Python.
• At least 3 years implementing large-scale, distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant systems and infrastructure in production.
• Experience delivering products in a cross-functional team.
• Expertise in observability tools and practices.
• Extensive Kubernetes SRE experience or experience with related cloud infrastructure and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong API design and RESTful principles knowledge, with experience building web services at scale.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal customers and partners to deliver business outcomes.
• Ensure cloud products meet reliability, scalability, efficiency, security, and operational standards.
• Improve monitoring and alerting across cloud services.
• Respond to cloud incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans.
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Optimize resource utilization and application performance.
• Improve CI/CD processes to increase deployment speed and reliability.
• Automate operations to reduce manual work and improve system reliability.
