Software Engineer - Cloud SRE

Job summary

Design and operate reliable, scalable self-service cloud platforms that support application lifecycles in a high-traffic ecommerce environment. The role focuses on Kubernetes and containers, improving cloud service reliability, observability, performance, security compliance, automation, and CI/CD, while responding to incidents and collaborating with internal customers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of programming experience with Go or Python.
• At least 3 years of experience implementing large-scale, distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant systems and infrastructure in production.
• Strong Kubernetes experience in an SRE or related cloud infrastructure role.
• Experience with observability tools and practices focused on reliability and performance.
• Strong understanding of API design and RESTful principles, including experience building web services at scale.
• Experience delivering products in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in high-traffic, large-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Improve the reliability, scalability, efficiency, and security compliance of cloud products.
• Strengthen cloud service observability through monitoring and alerting.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and maintain incident response plans.
• Analyze system performance and optimize resource utilization and application performance.
• Improve CI/CD processes to increase deployment speed and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation to streamline operations, reduce manual work, and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with internal customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
