Solutions Architect - NCP DevOps

Job summary

This senior solutions architect designs, operates, and optimizes large-scale cloud infrastructure for AI and high-performance computing workloads. The role includes maintaining Kubernetes platforms, HPC/AI clusters, networking, and storage; automating deployment and operations; and advising customers on platform architecture and technical issues. Key technologies include Linux, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, GPU-accelerated systems, and observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience managing scalable cloud environments and in automation engineering.
• Degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of HPC and AI technologies, including CPUs, GPUs, high-speed interconnects, and supporting software.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and data center architectures.
• Hands-on experience deploying, optimizing, and troubleshooting HPC or AI clusters.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience, including container orchestration, resource scheduling, scaling, and HPC integration.
• Deep Linux knowledge, including Red Hat or CentOS, Ubuntu, OS-level security, TCP, DHCP, and DNS.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with storage systems such as Lustre, GPFS, ZFS, XFS, or Kubernetes storage technologies.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.
• Strong solution architecture and consultative customer support experience.
• GPU-focused hardware and software experience, such as NVIDIA DGX, CUDA, or GPU Operator.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for software deployment and automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain large-scale computational and AI infrastructure, including monitoring, logging, and workload orchestration.
• Optimize production Kubernetes platforms integrated with enterprise networking and storage.
• Develop and document operational methodologies, guidelines, runbooks, and onboarding materials.
• Lead customer technical engagements, troubleshoot complex issues, and advocate for customer needs.
• Support research and development activities and conduct proof-of-concept evaluations of features, architectures, and upgrades.
• Build automation for infrastructure deployment, management, monitoring, alerting, and self-service resource use.
• Coordinate with regional and engineering, product, and sales teams on partner solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance on DevOps and platform architecture for assigned customer accounts.
