Job summary

The Specialist Platform Engineering role at DATEV focuses on the development and operation of a cloud services API on a Kubernetes basis, enabling standardized and automated cloud service management.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in Platform Engineering with a good understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures
• Experience developing or extending Kubernetes operators, controllers, or Crossplane components
• Practical experience in automation and Everything-as-Code environments
• Familiarity with collaboration in development teams and agile working
• Knowledge in developing cloud-native applications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Expand and operate the Cloud Services API on Kubernetes
• Implement deployment, update, and scaling processes using Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code, and GitOps
• Develop APIs, CLI tools, and service catalogs for self-service by developer teams
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies with relevant stakeholders
• Provide last-level support, analyze technical issues and configuration problems
