Splunk Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Own and evolve a scalable Splunk observability platform that supports SRE teams and business partners. Optimize Splunk Cloud log collection, processing, storage, Workload Management, and HEC performance; build dashboards; participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews; and automate deployment and scaling of observability agents and collectors. The environment includes deployments at a scale of 1,000+ SVCs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience scaling and managing Splunk Cloud environments with 1,000+ SVCs.
• Experience optimizing Workload Management (WLM) and HEC.
• Expertise creating actionable Splunk dashboards that correlate data across multiple sources.
• Ability to debug complex, cross-service performance bottlenecks using a data-driven approach.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, Vector, or similar application instrumentation frameworks is preferred.
• Experience implementing the Splunk charge-back app for usage reporting is preferred.
• Experience managing native observability tools in AWS or GCP is preferred.
