Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Sr Cable Infrastructure Engineer to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC 3). The role involves designing, installing, and maintaining cable infrastructure for secure and non-secure communication systems.

Qualifications

  • Lift up to 60 lbs
  • Climb ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Stand for extended periods while installing and terminating cables
  • Work at heights and operate aerial platforms
  • Comfortable in military-secured environments

Responsibilities

  • Install, replace, repair, remove, terminate, and test LAN cabling
  • Maintain cable infrastructure labeling standards
  • Install new cable and infrastructure
  • Terminate and test new cable and infrastructure
  • Test and troubleshoot faulty cable
  • Cross-connect circuits using patch panels
  • Maintain core datacenter infrastructure
  • Solve issues related to cables and networks
  • Work a non-standard work schedule as needed
