Job summary
BAE Systems is seeking a Sr Cable Infrastructure Engineer to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC 3). The role involves designing, installing, and maintaining cable infrastructure for secure and non-secure communication systems.
Qualifications
- Lift up to 60 lbs
- Climb ladders and work in confined spaces
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Stand for extended periods while installing and terminating cables
- Work at heights and operate aerial platforms
- Comfortable in military-secured environments
Responsibilities
- Install, replace, repair, remove, terminate, and test LAN cabling
- Maintain cable infrastructure labeling standards
- Install new cable and infrastructure
- Terminate and test new cable and infrastructure
- Test and troubleshoot faulty cable
- Cross-connect circuits using patch panels
- Maintain core datacenter infrastructure
- Solve issues related to cables and networks
- Work a non-standard work schedule as needed
