Job summary

Parsons is seeking a talented Sr. Cloud Automation Engineer to design and automate public cloud environments (Azure and AWS) and connect them to on-prem enterprise environments. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience and knowledge of public cloud (Azure and AWS).
  • Ability to automate with Infrastructure as Code using ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell.
  • Cross-functional IT expertise in storage, network, and database infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with both Windows and Linux servers.
  • Experience with public cloud compute and storage technologies (Azure Disk, Blob, Files; AWS EBS, EFS, S3).
  • Experience with public cloud networking architecture (Azure vNet, load balancers, Virtual WAN, VPN, Express Route; AWS VPC, load balancers, transit gateway, VPN, Direct Connect).
  • Experience with public cloud identity and access management methods.
  • Excellent documentation, intercommunication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Good understanding and implementation of ITIL concepts.
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
  • Experience with artifact binary repository management.
  • Extensive scripting experience (Bash, Ansible, Python, Groovy, Powershell).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Knowledge of configuration file types (YAML, JSON).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking in public cloud.
