Job summary

Seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a highly data-driven AWS platform. The role focuses on building scalable, resilient infrastructure and enabling ingestion, consumption, and event-driven systems across an ECS-based microservices architecture.

Qualifications

  • Strong AWS experience with ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, OpenSearch
  • Deep expertise in Terraform
  • Experience with CircleCI and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
  • Experience with observability tools such as Splunk and New Relic

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform modular approach
  • Maintain environments across Dev, QA, UAT, Perf, and Prod
  • Perform Terraform state management, drift detection, and safe deployments
  • Work extensively with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, ALB, OpenSearch
  • Build and optimize ingestion, consumption, and event-driven pipelines
  • Support high throughput, low latency distributed systems
  • Build and manage pipelines using CircleCI, GitHub, and AWS CodeBuild
  • Enable feature-based deployments and automated release workflows
  • Ensure zero downtime deployments and strict plan-before-apply governance
  • Implement monitoring using New Relic, Splunk, and OpenSearch
  • Build dashboards and log pipelines
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability
  • Develop and support Lambda-based architectures
  • Work with event-driven systems using SQS, SNS, and streaming pipelines
  • Implement IAM roles and policies following least privilege principles
  • Manage secrets using AWS Secrets Manager and Parameter Store
  • Work with backend, data, and QA teams
  • Drive platform standardization and automation
  • Take ownership of reliability, scalability, and performance
