Job summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer owns the security, reliability, and cost management of production cloud environments and engineering tools, primarily on AWS with some GCP. The role standardizes infrastructure as code, strengthens cloud security, improves CI/CD and deployment practices, and supports monitoring, incident response, tool administration, and cost optimization across multiple teams.

Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering, including production cloud operations and security.
- Deep AWS expertise and working experience with GCP.
- Networking experience with VPC design, routing, segmentation, DNS, private connectivity, and security boundaries.
- Experience with IAM, least privilege, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability management, and audit logging.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, blue-green and canary deployments, and automated rollback.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience administering engineering tools, including Sentry, APM platforms, and testing tools.
- Experience with cloud cost visibility, management, and reporting.
- Strong communication skills and experience supporting multiple teams and promoting shared practices.
Responsibilities
- Own security posture across AWS and GCP environments, including identity, networking, secrets, encryption, and audit logging.
- Build and maintain standardized infrastructure as code and cloud environments.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with integrated security checks and reliable deployment and rollback strategies.
- Assess and improve DevOps processes across teams.
- Administer engineering tools, including Sentry, APM platforms, and testing tools.
- Track cloud and tooling costs, report spend, and drive optimization.
- Implement monitoring and alerting and support incident response.
- Document reusable practices and support teams with delivery challenges.
