Responsibilities

• Serve as primary System Administrator for Linux based servers, workstations, and services
• Handle direct user interaction for resolution of complex issues
• Evaluate hardware and software solutions, summarizing findings and recommendations
• Build, deploy and administrate Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) infrastructure
• Manage virtualization technology frameworks such as VMware and OpenShift
• Build and maintain secure baselines for operating system images
• Configure, harden, patch, and monitor system security
• Provide secondary administration support for Linux systems and peripheral IT equipment
• Implement and manage vulnerability patches for system security
• Ensure compliance with Cybersecurity regulations
• Provide end user troubleshooting support for IT system networks
• Research new Information Systems technologies and capabilities
• Evaluate process and program effectiveness for continuous improvement
• Be available outside of working hours for critical IT Infrastructure issues
