Job summary
This role focuses on driving Site Reliability Engineering excellence and operational innovation within OpenText Cloud Operations. The Senior Site Reliability Administrator will influence technology decisions, team structures, and delivery processes to ensure reliable and scalable cloud operations. They will lead high-impact initiatives, drive automation, and set new standards for operational excellence.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with automation and scalable cloud operations
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Hands-on experience in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Proven experience supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing web applications, load balancers, and cloud-based infrastructure in production environments
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment technologies, including GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, and artifact management tools
- Solid understanding of networking, system security best practices, operating systems, storage platforms, distributed systems, APIs, and modern cloud architectures
- Extensive experience with centralized logging, infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and incident management tools such as PagerDuty, OpsGenie, VictorOps, Pingdom, and ThousandEyes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and building strong partnerships across technical teams and leadership
- 2-5 years of experience building fully automated software application and infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines
- Familiarity and experience with Windows OS
- Extensive experience in an iterative development environment and CI/CD practices and tools
- Familiarity building and managing microservices-based systems
Responsibilities
- Provide support, improve, and implement infrastructure as code and applications on various platforms
- Troubleshoot and triage issues
- Collaborate with security, development, and operations teams for assistance
- Execute with minimal technical supervision
- Embrace reliability constraints
- Proactively contribute improvements to the codebase
- Promote technical vision for VM and containerized product development, deployment, and operationalization
- Establish and maintain security guidelines, practices, and department procedures
- Establish and maintain effective customer points of contact for collaboration and troubleshooting projects
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, paired programming, and working sessions
- Drive a metric-driven culture and software delivery process using data to measure system quality
