Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

Job summary

Blackpoint Cyber is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, focusing on automation, scalability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Senior Site Reliability Engineer role or equivalent.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt).
• Knowledge of AWS for secure and scalable cloud architectures.
• Experience with distributed data streaming (Confluent Cloud, Apache Kafka).
• Experience with Redis and Amazon RDS.
• Familiarity with enterprise search and analytics platforms (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch).
• Proficiency in monitoring and alerting infrastructure (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with feature flag systems (LaunchDarkly/PostHog).
• Experience administering production-grade Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt).
• Optimize AWS cloud environment for cost efficiency and security.
• Manage Kubernetes cluster environments for continuous delivery.
• Administer data streaming infrastructure (Confluent Cloud, Apache Kafka).
• Deploy and maintain Redis for caching and real-time processing.
• Implement monitoring and incident response frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Facilitate controlled feature deployments through LaunchDarkly/PostHog.
• Collaborate with software development teams for integration of new services.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system-level issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of automation and operational processes.
• Stay current on SRE trends and tools.
