Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

Job summary

OpenText is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to bridge the gap between software engineering and operations, focusing on scalable and fault-tolerant systems. The role involves managing containerized infrastructure, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions for cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Linux systems and experience with virtualization technologies
• Experience with GitOps based deployments and tools
• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering or operations experience focused on Cloud development and container technologies
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Some experience in Golang is preferred
• Strong ansible and terraform coding skills
• Experience with monitoring tools

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between software engineering and operations
• Own containerized platform delivery
• Administer and manage OpenText containerized infrastructure stack
• Provide operational support including hands-on troubleshooting
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot software features and solutions
• Harden processes for cloud environments and container-based applications
• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure on multiple hyperscalers
• Run software applications on containerized cloud infrastructure
• Plan, test, and implement monitoring and observability solutions
• Manage and optimize application containers and their security
• Advance automation and security for cloud and container applications
• Develop standards, policies, and best practices documentation
• Automate solutions to follow ITIL and change management procedures
