Sr Software Engineer – DevOps, RIVR

Job summary

The mid-level DevOps Engineer builds and maintains infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support the reliable development and deployment of software for autonomous delivery robots. The role partners with software and robotics engineers to automate workflows, manage observability and telemetry, maintain Docker and Kubernetes development environments, and resolve deployment issues. Relevant technologies include Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CMake, Git, and robotics software.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps or a related field.
• Proficiency with containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with C++ build tools such as CMake.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred experience in robotics software development or a related domain.
• Preferred experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
• Preferred familiarity with ROS2.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for robotics software deployment.
• Develop and manage observability and telemetry pipelines.
• Collaborate with software and robotics engineers to automate infrastructure and streamline workflows.
• Apply best practices for code security, versioning, and reproducibility.
• Manage development environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Create documentation and guidelines to support team knowledge sharing.
