SRE / DevOps Engineer (human)

Job summary

CopeCart is seeking an SRE / DevOps Engineer to enhance deployment processes and improve the reliability of their AWS-based platform.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or production operations.
• Production AWS experience.
• Experience with ECS and containerized services.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
• Experience with CI/CD, Linux, and networking.
• Strong observability skills.
• Ability to write production-quality code in TypeScript and Bash.
• Ability to read and modify infrastructure and application code.
• Good judgment around production risk and automation.

Responsibilities

• Improve the deployment experience for the new system.
• Reduce operational bottlenecks.
• Strengthen AWS production setup.
• Improve GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows.
• Work with Terraform / OpenTofu for infrastructure management.
• Enhance production debugging.
• Improve observability across metrics, logs, and traces.
• Create or improve operational documentation.
• Introduce agentic engineering workflows.
• Design safe guardrails for agent-assisted work.
