SRE - GCP Kubernetes Terraform

Job summary

This Site Reliability Engineer will manage the reliability, security, and lifecycle of cloud environments as part of a platform team. The role automates provisioning and retirement with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, operates Kubernetes workloads—especially Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)—and improves monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Automation-oriented mindset and ability to improve service reliability.
• Independent, analytical, and effective at solving problems.
• Able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of cloud environments, from request and provisioning through operation and retirement.
• Automate environment provisioning and removal using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate environment requests for integrity, consistency, security, and governance compliance.
• Operate, maintain, and improve Kubernetes workloads, especially on GKE.
• Manage cloud networks, permissions, identities, and secrets using the principle of least privilege.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and SIEM integrations.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reporting.
• Automate repetitive tasks and reduce operational workload through self-service workflows and resource cleanup.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and Forward Deployed Engineers to support deployments and environment lifecycle management.
• Continuously improve platform availability, security, performance, and reliability.
