SRE Senior / Lead Platform Engineer

Job summary

Lead technical transformation and operations for a multi-tenant SaaS IoT platform running 24/7 on Azure and a sovereign cloud. The role covers Infrastructure as Code migration, Oracle-to-PostgreSQL convergence, Kubernetes operations, messaging reliability, SLI/SLO observability, CI/CD, FinOps, proactive security, and incident response. It also includes owning the platform backlog and roadmap while guiding a seven-person platform team.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of IT experience, including 5 years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS platforms in production under service-level commitments.
• Experience completing an Infrastructure as Code transformation across an existing estate.
• Ability to lead technical work end to end and engage a team without direct authority.
• Risk- and measurement-driven SRE approach, with a focus on reducing manual work and automating processes.
• Ability to defend technical recommendations with architecture teams, service providers, and management.
• Ability to balance technical quality with sustainable costs.
• Expert Infrastructure as Code and Kubernetes operations skills.
• Expert messaging and observability skills, including RabbitMQ, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.
• Fluent French and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead Infrastructure as Code migration for production and non-production environments across Azure and a sovereign cloud.
• Migrate from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
• Improve messaging reliability and data platforms.
• Implement observability, including SLI/SLOs, dashboards, and alerts.
• Industrialize CI/CD pipelines and maintain parity between production and preproduction.
• Optimize platform costs through FinOps practices.
• Lead proactive security work, including hardening, secrets and certificate management, vulnerability and end-of-life monitoring, and penetration test remediation.
• Maintain the technical backlog and platform roadmap.
• Operate the platform and handle incidents against defined service levels.
