SRE Software Engineer III

Job summary

As an SRE Software Engineer III at JPM***, you will build and operate resilient software solutions to enhance availability and customer experience. You will collaborate with engineering teams to design automated delivery approaches and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and 3+ years experience
• Proficiency in site reliability principles
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java/Spring Boot, .NET)
• Experience with observability solutions and alerting tools
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform)
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration technologies
• Knowledge of networking concepts in distributed systems
• Ability to remove blockers and learn new technologies
• Knowledge of AI-assisted software development tools
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
• Develop, test, and deliver software solutions for availability and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, multi-system problems
• Define and use service level indicators and objectives
• Advance observability practices to improve telemetry and alerting
• Improve operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement
• Leverage AI coding assist tools to enhance code quality and productivity
• Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools
