STACKIT Platform Services - Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d)

Job summary

Design and operate sovereign cloud and messaging platform services, ensuring reliability, performance, fault tolerance, and low-latency delivery. Establish SLO practices, build self-service integration capabilities, test resilience through Chaos Engineering, and lead incident reviews and corrective actions. The role works with Go, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and platform services such as PubSub, KMS, Secrets Manager, DNS, and MailOut.

Qualifications

• Experience with Go, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and production automation.
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with error budgets, SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and Chaos Engineering.
• Understanding of the operational requirements of PubSub, KMS, Secrets Manager, DNS, and MailOut.
• Ability to optimize underlying data structures for high-cardinality environments.
• Interest in exploring technologies such as OpenTelemetry and sharing knowledge with teams and communities.

• Conduct Chaos Engineering tests and incident response simulations.
• Lead production incident post-mortems and root cause analyses.
• Implement sustainable corrective measures.
