Job summary
The Staff AI Platform Engineer at Tangerine is responsible for engineering execution and delivery of technology solutions that support the AI platform, ensuring quality and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Software/Data/ML/AI Engineering experience
- 2+ years of technology leadership experience
- Experience delivering complex, high-availability ML/AI platforms
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG pipelines, and feature stores
- Experience with cloud native AI/ML stacks (GCP/Azure/AWS) and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of AI governance, compliance, security, and reliability best practices
Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering for the Tangerine AI Platform
- Collaborate with technology, risk, analytics, and business teams
- Provide infrastructure and tooling for model training and inference
- Execute the strategic platform roadmap
- Lead engineering project initiatives
- Promote a client-focused engineering culture
- Manage data products with the data platform team
- Support AI and Agentic Development team
- Design and implement AI pipelines
- Drive engineering excellence
- Ensure platform resilience and operational preparedness
- Communicate risk culture
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers
