Staff Automation Engineer

Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Staff Automation Engineer to architect a resilient, high-velocity delivery ecosystem for CyberArk's Secure Workload Access solution. This role involves engineering the end-to-end lifecycle for diverse components, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and secure deployment pipeline, and maintaining and automating the underlying infrastructure for testing.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with DevOps tooling and automation, including Terraform, Jenkins, AWS, and GitOps.
• Experience with programming or scripting.
• Motivation to provide a great developer experience.
• Track record of highly collaborative work.
• Sharp debugging skills with a methodical approach to isolate issues in complex environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, including dashboard creation and ad-hoc issue isolation techniques.
• Preferred experience with supply chain security practices such as vulnerability scanning and code signing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain pipelines for software testing and shipping, managing complex dependencies and multiple steps.
• Maintain test infrastructure using DevOps tooling, including third-party dependencies, test environments, and cloud accounts.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance developer experience, providing ad-hoc environments and debuggable pipelines.
• Monitor test pipelines, triage issues, and escalate to developers when necessary.
• Troubleshoot underlying issues with developers.
• Provide product feedback to improve user experience, testability, and debuggability.
• Continuously improve pipeline efficiency by analyzing bottlenecks and optimizing deployment steps for speed, security, and reliability.
