Job summary
The Staff Cloud Platform Engineer provides technical leadership for a cloud platform that enables delivery teams to deploy through self-service automation. The role develops cloud reference architectures, improves CI/CD and delivery processes, and builds secure, resilient, high-performing infrastructure across GCP, Azure, and AWS. The platform uses tools including Terraform, Kubernetes, Argo CD, and observability and secrets-management solutions to support internal teams and automate customer environments.

Qualifications
- Expertise with at least one major cloud vendor.
- Five to seven years of increasingly complex cloud engineering experience.
- Experience with public cloud platforms through consoles and APIs; GCP preferred.
- Experience automating cloud applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
- Development experience in Go, Python, or Shell/Bash.
- Strong understanding of system design and operational and reliability trade-offs.
- Practical understanding of agile methodologies and Scrum.
Responsibilities

- Promote DevOps practices and collaboration across the platform team.
- Develop cloud reference architectures and guide implementation.
- Influence architecture decisions and improve CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline delivery and improve self-service services.
- Mentor junior team members and lead code and design reviews.
- Stay current with cloud technologies and trends.
