n8n*** is seeking a Staff Core Platform Engineer to shape and evolve the core platform architecture, ensuring coherence across execution, infrastructure, and frontend systems.

Qualifications

• Track record of leading architecture across multiple systems or teams
• Deep reasoning about invariants, correctness, and failure modes
• Experience designing highly configurable, adaptable systems
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems
• Experience with data-intensive systems
• Strong TypeScript experience
• Influence through technical judgment and clear communication
• Focus on creating clear contracts and developer experiences

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture across the two Core Platform teams
• Design highly adaptable backend foundations
• Evolve core subsystems including durable workflow execution
• Shape data and persistence architecture
• Lead consequential technical decisions
• Define stable platform interfaces and abstractions
• Mentor engineers across all engineering teams
