Job summary
RBC is seeking a Staff Engineer to design, build, and scale data-driven systems for advanced analytics and machine learning, leading technical direction and ensuring high-quality project execution.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend software engineering and distributed systems design
- 5+ years building and scaling data engineering systems with modern tools
- Deep expertise in backend languages and frameworks
- Proven experience with system design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and real-time data processing
- Hands-on experience with MPP data warehouses and noSQL databases
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and review scalable data pipelines and analytics platform
- Define and promote best practices in data and ML engineering
- Collaborate with data scientists, business leaders, and IT teams
- Ensure high-quality project execution aligned with business goals
