Staff/Lead Platform/DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Mimica is seeking a Staff/Lead Platform/DevOps Engineer to support engineering teams by developing resilient applications and maintaining infrastructure-as-code.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes on GKE or EKS.
• Experience with Terraform as primary IaC tool.
• IAM and identity management experience on GCP or AWS.
• Experience with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tool.
• Observability experience with platforms like Honeycomb or Grafana.
• Proficient in Python for automating platform tasks.
• Background in startups or scale-ups.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in incident response.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams in developing resilient applications on GKE.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and ArgoCD.
• Manage GKE environments across multiple regions.
• Investigate and triage issues in existing applications.
• Participate in on-call rotation to monitor system health.
• Contribute to migrating IaC from Terraform to Crossplane.
• Drive FinOps initiatives for cloud spend visibility.
• Design access patterns for BYOC and single-tenancy environments.
• Improve observability using tools like Honeycomb and Grafana.
