Staff Platform Engineer

Job summary

Design and build platform foundations for physical product businesses to manage procurement, inventory, orders, fulfillment, and finance workflows with flexibility and transactional integrity. Responsibilities include schema-as-code and versioned migrations for live customer environments, AI-assisted schema and workflow tools, scalable analytics using BigQuery- or Snowflake-like warehouses, declarative APIs and SDKs, and observability and search across operational data.

Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale ETL with databases such as Postgres, Elasticsearch, DuckDB, or Memgraph.
• Experience using cloud services to build and deploy reliable web applications.
• Experience designing abstractions for scalable graph-based architectures.
• Collaborative, curious, and open to learning.
• Commitment to high-quality work and pragmatic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design the core EAV data model and schema-as-code platform.
• Build version control and migration tools for complex schema and data changes in live production environments.
• Develop AI-assisted tools to propose, validate, and apply customer schemas and workflows.
• Scale a white-labeled data warehouse for high-volume, low-latency analytics and automation.
• Create declarative APIs and SDKs for managing business processes as code.
• Provide security, tenancy, and performance controls.
• Build observability and search across supply-chain, finance, and operations data.
• Develop safeguards to detect anomalous behavior and risky patterns.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product and design.
