Job summary
The Staff Platform Engineer role serves as the primary technical contact for Platform Engineering, focusing on cloud-native technologies and infrastructure automation. Responsibilities include optimizing application platforms and deployment pipelines, enhancing infrastructure standards with Kubernetes and Terraform, and collaborating with IT teams to uphold engineering best practices.
Qualifications
- several years of experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or DevOps Engineering
- solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, Terraform
- experience in infrastructure automation, system architecture, networking
- programming and scripting ideally with Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell
- very good German and English language skills
- experience with service mesh technologies, AI-driven automation
Responsibilities
- central technical contact for Platform Engineering
- identify innovation potentials, develop prototypes and MVPs
- design and optimize application platforms
- improve platform and infrastructure standards
- collaborate closely with the Cloud Platform Team
