Job summary
SimSpace is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to define the technical vision and secure the infrastructure for their cyber range platform. The role involves providing technical leadership, architecting resilient systems, and driving engineering standards while collaborating across departments to enhance platform stability and reliability.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in Site Reliability, Platform, or DevOps engineering
- Deep software engineering skills
- Architectural understanding of Kubernetes
- Experience architecting CI/CD pipelines
- Systems-level thinking for architecture design
- Expertise with observability platforms
- Background in infrastructure security architecture
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Design and architect infrastructure strategy
- Lead evolution of CI/CD and Kubernetes platforms
- Define and govern Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
- Architect enterprise observability strategy using Grafana stack
- Drive infrastructure security posture at architectural level
- Serve as strategic partner to development teams
- Act as Incident Commander during high-severity outages
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers
