Job summary

This six-month internship focuses on mapping and improving information flows among software lifecycle tools used by a research department. The intern will build connectors for Git tags and releases, artifact registries, and continuous integration pipelines; generate component dependency graphs; and implement consistency checks that flag discrepancies to component owners. The work may use LLM-assisted analysis to inventory information across existing tools.

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree (Bac+5) in computer science or software engineering
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, preferably Python
• Proficiency with a command-line interpreter
• Familiarity with Git and software forges
• Interest in continuous integration and delivery practices
• Experience or interest in consuming and publishing APIs and handling JSON or YAML
• Ability to manage work from start to finish and take initiative
• Strong communication skills for working with tool users
• English proficiency in speaking and writing

Responsibilities

• Map software lifecycle tools, their information inputs and outputs, and how repository versions are produced
• Build extraction connectors for source tools, including Git tags and releases, artifact registries, and continuous integration pipelines
• Build connectors that update target tools automatically or open pull requests for human validation
• Generate inter-component dependency graphs from actual data
• Implement consistency checks across tools
• Notify component owners of potential discrepancies
