Job summary

As a QA Automation Engineer Intern at McKesson, you will contribute to the quality and reliability of retail systems by designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests for critical applications.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, Vue.js, PHP, Java, Python.
• Interest in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps concepts.
• Basic understanding of Git version control.
• Exposure to automated testing tools is an asset.
• Interest in retail systems and data validation is a strong asset.
• Curiosity about AI-assisted software development tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Good communication skills and motivation to learn new technologies.
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for retail systems and business workflows.
• Use GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts.
• Support testing for retail application functionality, regression scenarios, and data validation.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to identify and resolve software defects.
• Analyze test results and document findings with evidence and recommendations.
• Participate in regression, functional, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Contribute to improving test automation frameworks and best practices.
• Document test scenarios and automation approaches.
• Explore new AI tools and quality engineering practices.
