Streaming Platform Engineer

Job summary

Administer and support the Confluent Kafka platform and its ecosystem, including platform components, connectors, and central pipelines. Responsibilities include installation, upgrades, production support, and troubleshooting, using Ansible and Bash or Python for platform administration. The role requires 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 to 4 years managing Confluent; Flink installation experience and Azure or AWS exposure are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years of relevant experience
• 3 to 4 years of hands-on Confluent platform management experience
• Familiarity with Bash and Python for platform administration
• Flink installation experience is preferred; approximately 1 year of exposure is sufficient
• Azure or AWS exposure is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade the Confluent Kafka platform
• Provide production support and troubleshoot platform issues
• Manage platform components
• Support connectors, central pipelines, and related platform functionality
