Job summary
LPL*** is seeking a motivated Platform Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 to assist in building, automating, and enhancing enterprise platforms. The role offers hands-on experience with cloud technologies and operational practices, working alongside experienced engineers to improve platform performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), software engineering or a related field
- Ability to work on-site in an LPL primary office location
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud and platform services
- Assist in implementation and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
- Support cloud operations and platform engineering initiatives for availability and efficiency
- Participate in monitoring, observability, and incident response activities
- Contribute to security, governance, risk, and compliance initiatives
- Assist with CI/CD pipeline enhancements and automation efforts
- Document platform architectures, technical workflows, and operational procedures
- Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and identify improvements
