Support Engineer - Platform Engineering

Job summary

The Support Engineer helps maintain the reliability and performance of a cloud-native platform by resolving issues across backend infrastructure and third-party integrations. The role includes investigating production incidents, validating integrations with scripts, performing preventative maintenance, conducting root cause analysis, responding to customer queries, and implementing lasting improvements. The technology stack includes AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, SQL, Prometheus, Grafana, and preferably Java.

Qualifications

• Experience operating distributed systems at scale
• Working knowledge of SQL and databases
• Infrastructure experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, DNS, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Programming experience in an object-oriented language, preferably Java
• Analytical, quality-focused approach and ability to solve problems independently
• Ability to balance speed and stability in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication skills for working across teams and with clients
