Job summary

The System Administrator 3 role is responsible for supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, with a strong focus on Linux environments. Key responsibilities include managing IT system infrastructure, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, and configuring UNIX and Windows operating systems while optimizing system operations and resource utilization.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux background
• Fiercely independent and self-starter
• Comfortable SSHing to servers and port forwarding
• Basic experience using/troubleshooting Ansible playbooks
• Basic understanding of system provisioning technologies
• Basic scripting experience
• Basic experience administering/supporting Virtual Machine environments
• Basic experience with Linux central authentication technologies

Responsibilities

• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manages IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
• Supports IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
• Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, troubleshoots, and implements enhancements.
